Sheffield United Junior Blades have been in existence for over 25 years and were set up by Sheffield United as part of their youth set up. The club maintains strong links with Sheffield United and aims to meet the high standards set by its Parent Club.
Junior Blades now has over 250 players in both its boys and girls section, with many
more playing in its senior men’s and women’s sides. The club currently has two grounds,
one at Matthews Lane and the other at Mather Road. Matches are also played at Whirlowdale
Playing Fields and Cricket Inn, Totley.
Junior Blades training sessions are held
at the Sheffield United Academy, which has allowed the club to be able to provide
coaching sessions in a safe environment, the underlying objective when the club originally
formed almost three decades ago.
Junior Blades would like to thank Sheffield & Hallamshire
FA for its continued assistance and also that of the Sheffield and District Sunday
Junior League and Sheffield & Hallamshire County Girls League for providing a league
framework for teams to play competitive football in.
